Villaescusa de Roa: Nature and Connection in one place

Villaescusa de Roa, is a municipality in the province of Burgos, belonging to the region of La Ribera, and located in the core of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. According to the INE, it has 110 inhabitants, and already has the ultrafast fiber of Asteo.

Legend has it that the name of the town is due to the fact that the inhabitants of Villaescusa used to make numerous excuses for not paying taxes.

The big festivities are around August 20 for the celebration of San Mamés, its patron saint.

Among its charms we can find the Parish Church of San Mamés and the Ermita del Cristo del Humilladero.
