At 55 km from Segovia and 59 km from Valladolid (by car) is this town known as“minor local entity” of Santiuste de San Juan Bautista, which in 1970 ceased to be an independent municipality due to the reduction of its population. From 190 people in 1940 it went down to 20 in 2000 and currently has 16 people on the census, 12 men and 4 women.

Social and cultural center “Casa Maestra” in Bernuy de Coca
This situation has not prevented Bernuyenses from having ultrafast and stable fiber optics through the deployment that Asteo Red Neutra is carrying out in the small towns and municipalities of Segovia.
Bernuy de Coca enjoys Internet access through fiber optics since autumn 2022 and since then it can be on the map of any teleworker.
Romanesque route
But the charm of this Segovian town goes beyond the fiber. Bernuy has a church dedicated to its patron saint, San Vicente Mártir, which combines Mudejar and Romanesque styles, and which will be of interest to those who take a route of Romanesque architecture in Castilla y León.
