The AOTEC 2026 trade fair will once again bring together technological innovation and territorial development under the slogan “Connecting innovation, AI and territory”.
In this context, Asteo Red Neutra will take part in the AOTEC Tech Forum, reinforcing its commitment to local operators and the development of long-distance networks. Below, we outline our agenda for Thursday, May 28,
Iberia as a digital bridge and new opportunities for local operators
📅 May 28 | 12:30–12:50 | Room B
The day will begin with a presentation by Pedro Abad, CEO of Asteo, and Alfonso García Gómez, Business Development Director. In their talk, they will address the role of the Iberian Peninsula as a strategic connectivity hub and its impact on the telco ecosystem. They will cover three key ideas:
- Resilience: the need for robust networks in the face of growing traffic
- Data sovereignty: the importance of information circulating securely
- Alternative routes: developing infrastructure that reduces congestion
In addition, the Asteo Venus Spain–Portugal project will be presented, co-funded by the European Union through CEF Digital and HaDEA, focused on strengthening cross-border connectivity and long-distance networks in Europe.
Smart infrastructure and converged networks
