Ultrafast Fiber in Brieva

General

Brieva, located in the Segovia region, between the Pirón River and the Polendos stream, now has Asteo’s ultrafast fiber. It was founded in the 12th century during the Castilian repopulation era by settlers originally from Brieva de los Cameros in La Rioja.

Formerly known as “the capital of the Siera,” today Brieva is home to approximately 126 residents. It is locally famous for the ‘Panduro’ poetry festival, which takes place in mid-August and offers a variety of activities such as musical and acoustic poetry recitals, performances, and children’s events.

This technological advancement has been made possible thanks to the financial support of the UNICO Broadband program of 2022 and 2023, promoted by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service and funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.

For all those interested in culture and the tranquility of the countryside who want to have ultrafast fiber connection, Brieva represents a charming destination within the province of Segovia.
