What do users in towns with less than 10,000 residents look for when they sign up for Internet?
For the majority, the price and conditions of the offer (87%), along with speed (83%) and type of connection (77%), are the most relevant aspects when looking for a service provider. However, the key, or most important decisive factor in formalizing the contract is the price (45%), followed by the type of connection (24%) and speed (16%). This is what emerges from the study conducted by the ASTEO Observatory in rural areas of less than 10,000 and 1,000 inhabitants that do have Internet access.
What is more important for those living in municipalities of 1,000 inhabitants?
While there are no major differences in the order of priorities by size of place of residence, gender or age, there are differences in the importance given to certain aspects. For example, in smaller municipalities (1,000 or fewer inhabitants), brand awareness (70% compared to 62% in towns with 10,000 or fewer residents) and proximity to the supplier (49% compared to 44%) are more highly valued.
And what do users appreciate most by age?
If we take age into account, speed ranks first for those between 18 and 34 years of age (80%). In addition, this group is the one that gives the least importance, compared to the rest, to bandwidth, brand awareness, and the possibility of contracting combined services. The oldest (55 and over) are the ones who give more importance to technical support (80%) and brand awareness (74%).
