Castrojimeno, a small rural gem in the province of Segovia, now has high-speed fiber optics, so that its residents can be more connected than ever, regardless of the size of the municipality or its location.
With barely fifty inhabitants registered in the census, Castrojimeno is an example of those villages that preserve the essence of authenticity: spectacular limestone landscapes, traditional wineries, trails between ravines and a history that dates back at least to the year 1030, when it was already mentioned as “Castro Ximeno”.
From the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, with its Renaissance paintings attributed to Nicolás Greco, to the unique fossil reefs in Europe that surround the town, Castrojimeno treasures a natural, historical and ethnographic wealth that can now be made known to the world more easily than ever.
The deployment in Castrojimeno has been financially supported by the UNICO Broadband 2023 program, promoted by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service and funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
