\"\"Caballar<\/strong>, in the region of Tierras de Segovia<\/strong>, is a rural municipality with fewer than a hundred inhabitants that today already enjoys ultrafast connectivity thanks to Asteo Red Neutra’s fiber optic network<\/strong>. Another example of how technology can also reach small villages and contribute to their development and quality of life. <\/p>\n

Located in the center of the province of Segovia<\/strong>, within the autonomous community of Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, Caballar has a population of fewer than 100 inhabitants. The municipality is 30 km from Segovia capital<\/strong>, about 122 km from Madrid<\/strong>, and 110 km from Valladolid<\/strong>, making it a rural enclave well-connected geographically. <\/p>\n

Fiber Optic Internet in Caballar thanks to the \u00daNICO Banda Ancha Program<\/span><\/h1>\n

The deployment of ultrafast fiber optic internet in Caballar<\/strong>, Segovia, has been made possible thanks to the financial support of the \u00daNICO Banda Ancha 2023 program<\/strong>, promoted by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service<\/strong> and funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This infrastructure allows residents, second homes, and small businesses to access high-speed internet<\/strong>, facilitating remote work, access to digital services, online education, and new economic opportunities in the rural environment.<\/p>\n

Nature, Routes, and a Privileged Environment<\/span><\/h1>\n

From the town, numerous walking or mountain biking (MTB) routes<\/strong> can be enjoyed, offering a landscape that combines mountains, natural heritage, and rural tranquility.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Camino de San Frutos<\/strong>, a pilgrimage route connecting Segovia capital with the hermitage of San Frutos<\/strong> in the Hoces del R\u00edo Durat\u00f3n Natural Park, passes through Caballar. Caballar is an intermediate point on this path, historically linked to San Frutos and his siblings, known as the Saints of Caballar<\/strong>, in the 7th century. <\/p>\n
