{"id":4063,"date":"2024-01-30T10:20:07","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T09:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asteo.es\/asteo-observatory\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T12:34:53","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T10:34:53","slug":"asteo-observatory","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/asteo.es\/en\/asteo-observatory\/","title":{"rendered":"Asteo Observatory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In response to the difficulty in identifying specific data on the use of new technologies linked to the Internet in areas with less than 10,000 inhabitants, the <strong>Asteo Observatory<\/strong> was born in 2022, with the aim of conducting opinion studies and analysis on the profile of Internet users in small rural municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2022, <strong>Asteo Observatory<\/strong> studies have addressed different aspects related to the digital habits of residents in areas with less than 1,000 inhabitants (62% of all municipalities in Spain) and from 1,001 to 10,000 (29%) that do have an Internet connection, whether fixed or mobile. In 2024, the segment of less than 500 residents was also analyzed for a more in-depth analysis.
